HEy all, I just created a new Splash page for my site, and I was wondering if you would be so kind as to check it out, and tell me whatcha think.

looks ok, WAY to big for the average user

it looks like my 17'' monitor is to small
for your splash page.
maybe, your target usergroup does all
have larger monitors than me.

yeah it is big... but it is pretty darn cool. I like it. Good work.

i like the splash page.. but that's probably helped by the fact i'm on a 19" @ 1280x1024, hehe.

uhhh... you spelled "proceed" wrong though, hahahahahha. it's one of those glaring errors that i'm surprised anyone caught, but you might want to fix it, hehe.

i jumped in the site for the first time in months and it looks very, very sharp too!

Lemme preface by saying I've never been so happy to have 1600x1200 on a 24" monitor.

Now for the gooey stuff: if I'm not mistaken, you're using the font "severnet" or something similar to that on the overlays. That font doesn't look good small unless you turn the anti-aliasing off. It's meant to look blocky and chunky and icky and such.

With that in mind, I'm not certain I like the font choice anyway. <img border=0 align=absmiddle src="http://www.ozones.com/forum/smile.gif"> Perhap something a little more jovial? Who knows.

You've got a couple issues on the lines near the bottom of the splash--when they descend into their 45 degree decline, they get icky wookie jagged edges. Makes me want to run to the corner and vomit! (smiles)

You've heard all the good stuff 'bout it, and I reiterate--just wanted to make sure you knew about the less than good stuff.

well I am gonna go against the flow in this thread... I dont particulalry like your splash because of the following,

not having a huge monitor I cant see it all without scrolling both horiz and vert

it doesnt seem to have any impact on me.... not alot going on

its 72kb in size which isnt that big but becos its one image, it was slow loading...

this is only a personal opinion.. just not my scene is all...

I would resize it and concentrate more on quality rather than quantity

Heh, thanks alot guys, I am going to be adding the new splash (that same thing, but with some sweet flash) in a little while...so check i out when its up there, and tell me about that.

Is there any reason why your page opens unlimited foam browser windows on my browser until it runs out of memory and crashes the hell out of my machine? I ruined a CD I was burning by clicking on your link.

It did that to me too. I thought it was a prank. <img border=0 align=absmiddle src="http://www.ozones.com/forum/frown.gif"> Fortunately, I got suspicious and started closing the windows as they popped up and managed to counter the tide.

One of the worse attacks of popups I have gotton. Almost had to reboot NT. Grrrrrr...
