Preserved Topic: wood burn tut question (Page 1 of 1)

I'm going through the tut that DG wrote up and I'm stuck on part 7. Go to the Blending Mode menu, and select Color Burn. Play with the opacity a bit, but setting to about 80 percent or so gives decent results.

Where is the Blending Mode Menu? I have looked everywhere except the right place, obviously <img border=0 align=absmiddle src="http://www.ozones.com/forum/wink.gif"> Anyway, a little help?

2 ways I know off Blook...

in your layer palette..at the top..above the preserve transparency box and to the left of the opacity.......

or

double click on the layer icon..and you can change it there also....

there si not a menu as such... it is termed as a 'layer mode'

yep - start messing round with this function a lot - there's some funky things going on in there!
them babies opened up a whole new world to me not so long ago!

what does that setting do, make the layer look like it's covered in a smoky haze?

lol DL.. yup.. nice smoky haze (tint of purple) and lots of 'gausian daisys' too... looks better when its applied over a nice green field, with Stonehenge shadowed through... cool man... heh <img border=0 align=absmiddle src="http://www.ozones.com/forum/smile.gif">
