Preserved Topic: My fonts aren't showing up in PS (Page 1 of 1)

Hey, I have DL'ed some new fonts but they won't show up in PS when I open it. Yes, I have them in the fonts folder in Windows. I recall seeing something like this on another forum but can't seem to find it.

Any ideas on how to get them to show up?

Do you have Photoshop open as your saving the fonts in the Fonts folder? Photoshop must be restarted ...

Once in awhile a font or two won't show up for me in PS. What I have to do is install the font from the font folder. When exploring the font folder, File > Install New Font and the rest is cake. Hope this helps.

Hey War, you da man. That worked like a charm. Previously I had just been unzipping them straight to the fonts folder. So I dragged them all back out and installed like you said and bingo!
