Preserved Topic: Bubble Graphics (Page 1 of 1)

Hi, Everyone.
I want to know how one would go about making an immage that is very simmilar to the Google image @www.Google.com I think that i looks pretty neat... just I can't duplicate the dropshadows or the bubbley shape of the letters. If you could help me out it would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Luke, and welcome to the asylum.
my advice is this:
go to http://handson.nu and take the dropshadows tutorial, and do both lighting effects tutorials, and maybe the glass one too... heck, do all of 'em! see if that helps you get a grasp on how they achieved this effect...

edit: darn that looks like C*****n... guess starting off with the right Font would have helped.. maybe?. hehe

I think the google thing is just a simple layer style.

Welcome to the asylum encrypto.

The google thing is just text colored differently and the following two layer effects added:

1) drop shadow
2) bevel/emboss (outer bevel)

Here's a sample I did in about 2 and a half minutes.

outer bevel?.. layer effects?.. hmmm.. let the slaughter begin! LOL.. j/k

yup it can be done lke that.. still I query the outer bevel... me thinks innner bevel if used at all Silence... !
