save for web does a by far better job of compressing the images. however, there are definately times when you have too many colors in the background that kinda need to match up, which is why making multiple colors transparent would be desired. |

Right on Max!! Frankly, I was glad that Adobe dropped the old system. PS6 rulz!! Maybe someday all browsers will support .PNG transperency, and make the whole thing redundant. |

exactly like when you optimize a GIF in IR or PS, make all your frames for the animation with NO bg and then in the 'optimize palette' you wanna make sure you check transparency and set the matte. |

Yeah, eye, Mcmabry is right, 'cause I had this problem too. If you set the transparency in PS first, then the settings will be transferred to IR if you open IR from PS (in the PS 6 version). |

silly silly me.... i had to click "show Options" to get the Transparency thingy.... i knew it was there.... just couldent find it... lol... cool beans! |
