Did you use eye candy 4000 any time?.......
anyway.....
Good for the first interface, but the buttons are hard to see and the reflaction of the buttons are wrong. I say the reflaction is wrong because it's an out side reflaction (blue sky ect...) on the buttons and the out frame is just chrome. If all the chromed parts were just one reflaction type it would be much better.
But overall great, keep trying it all try, try and try to get it just right.

nice!
try putting some cables around and work on the text on the buttons to make them a bit easier to read
and also, change the background for the interface to something that draws attention to it
maybe some nice metal look or something like that
otherwise i think it's preety cool
oh, and yeah! lose the "sony" thingy on the screen... much too commercial!
and hey, since you're talking about interfaces take a look at mine and tell me what you think of it
however, a new design for it is almost done on my harddrive, i think i'll upload it during the weekend
try looking at that version too and tell me what you think of that one too
k?
good luck
Arlechinu's...

looks like eyecandy.
that's about all there is to say about it honestly.
chrome filter in PS: is not actually inteded to make your objects look like chrome...it's just a "sketch" filter......although using it in conjucntion with some curves adjustments and selective brushing can work nicely

He he, you have a sony monitor too.. http://flux.clanman.com .. hehe... but mine doesn't stand out to much and I only put it there to balance out the small panel/decal bit that's to the right of it... .. .. ?..
But I'm just gonna get nit picky ans say the the aspect ration for your screen looks a tad odd even it it is widescreen..... And the scanlines look too big.. ??
The mouseovers seem odd/pointless and the text is very hard to read.
I do like the shape though, however it may look a bit weird when it comes to working the rest of the content into the page...
And the screen doesn't do anything but I'll just asume you havent gotten around to do anything yet. Oh, and airbrush a slight green glow over that little green LED light.
You may also want to shade the big crome outline thing to re-inforce the lightsource. Mabey throw a shadow onto the top & left of the 'screen' outline bit. And I'm not such a big fan of the grid in the interface either, I thing you could come up with something better.
But so far I like it
Keep us posted with your progress...
everybody needs a swamp bear

it's not simply a matter of having used a plugin....
it's a matter of making an image that *looks* just like all the others that are made with that plugin....it 's a matter of bland, regurgitated imagery that is spit out cookie cutter style.....
it also has jaggies all over the bevel peaks.
so no, you're not a 'damn fucker' for using a plugin.....it's just extremely obvious that you did, and given the oversaturation of eyecandy graphics on the web, it makes it very uninteresting.
you say you don't have time to learn more? I don't quite understand that concept

I mean on the....
<on the buttons and the out frame is just chrome. If all the chromed parts were just one reflaction type it would be much better>
Is that the outer frame is just chromed (Black and white- like an studio shot) And I was just saying If all of the reflaction parts u want should be just one chrome type like zebra or outside.
Get what I mean?

Hmmm.
What do you exactly want a review about?
Let's not beat around the bush ok? You really didn't have much to do with the interface. The entire thing was done using 3rd Party Plugins. I'm wondering right now if you even wrote the code for the rollovers or did you get them from an editor or copy it? Don't mean to be a dick but I've decided to be a lot more honest with my posts.
Anyway, your chrome is obviously made using EyeCandy. EyeCandy produces very tacky graphics. You might not be a professional graphic designer like some of the other members of our forum, but I believe learning how to use Photoshops tools a little bitter would benefit you, as well as everyone else. If you have any specific questions in making chrome you should post them. I, as well as everyone else, would be happy to answer them.
Thanks.

I like the style, but you should work on the chrome, the text is totally unreadable. Try checking out the various metal and chrome tutorials at the hundreds of sites. If you don't find one, google for one. Also about the questions answered here - what did you expect? Everybody in here is pretty much up against any 3rd party plugins (threep plugins? *g*), so I guess you knew that the answer would be rather funky if you came up with an eye-candy-polluted interface
Cheers,

I don't think it matters if you use 3rd-party plug-ins or not, as long as you use them with sense. They can make life easier sometimes, but it can be butt ugly if the plug-in dominates the whole design. I mean, what you see is what counts, not really how you did it. But of course it is better to be able to do everything without plug-ins; in that you have more control and you'll get to know Photoshop better. You'll be a better designer that way. Sometimes I've done Photoshop work at other places than at home, where I didn't have any plug-ins. Then I had to know how to do bevels and metal/chrome, whatever, without plug-ins, otherwise I wouldn't be able to do any work! Still, what you see is what counts.
