I just recently got a job teaching a class an advanced photoshop 6.0 course. 7 people in all, $60 each. There is alot of resource material that I want to give them, and so I have some questions to ask of anyone who can answer them. |

To address #2. The dodge, burn and sponge tools come straight from the darkroom. Working with color the burn tool will darken areas, the dodge tool will brighten and the sponge will increase/decrease saturation. In the darkroom the dodging and burning was.. er still is I spose.. accomplished by waving something that looks like the dodge tool between the print and the enlarger to adjust exposure time to individual areas of the print. Not sure about the sponge but I believe that technique is applied while the print is in the developing solution.. could be wrong though- never used a darkroom. |
