I would like to modify a photo to make it look really old and weathered, but it just isn't turning out right. I remember seeing something about it here once, but it seems that it is gone now. Perhaps someone can give me some input? |

here is a quicker method then cyoung's viable plan. try using the highpass filter yet? try copying the photo layer so you can edit it, use the high pass filter, then make another layer with some browns in it. or remove all the color from the photo, and use the browns in another layer... set the layer to overlay, and play with the opacity... For some reason, I don't think I'm making much sense... |

OK.. figured I had to at least try the photoshop solution, otherwise I'd just come off like.. oh nevermind. This took like ten seconds but maybe it's what you're after. Increased contrast, added noise, hue/saturation. With a little work on scratches, stains and the like it could look like a florida ballot if you wanted. before and after |
