Ok this is what I came up with with 6 hours sleep in 4 days. I title it poopstain. http://206.135.159.151/poopstain.jpg

yes I know its quite wrong, but hell at 1:30am my time its funny.

Geez, this is *hard*! My biggest problem is I like the images you guys choose so much, whatever changes I make look ugly by comparison. Below is a crop of an image I finished (kinda), which I got by cropping an even bigger image, it looked OK to me, I guess.

Very nice background and lighting, especially the 'light dots'. How did you get that background?

To get that background was do with skill of combing images and past art I did together. To get the effect of deepness with the background try using the freeform tools.

Have a go and try, try and try. I did and the end effect is great.

I don't normally just respond to these threads without adding a new image, but Drac, the simplicity and beauty of that image you made is really quite phenomenal. Thanks.

I'm my own worse critic but when Twitch and Weadah looked at it and went OMG .... I knew it must be a keeper. It's a new style for me...so that's cool...it gets me out of my rut

This weeks image brought out some good stuff !

OK, I attempted to actually model the object in POV-Ray. I sort of did it, but it doesn't have all the little tiny points that the real one has and it lacks realism in a few other ways, too. The render took something like six hours, 'cause of the smoothness it has and all the media.
