I definately want it to look good, like real fire. I also thought it would be cool to have maybe a chrome fire, but I don't know how to do it. Probably on a black background, to be used as a part of a picture where the fire is reflecting off of another object, to be named later. |

I remember I picked this general method up from a tutorial a while ago. I can't remember the tutorial, but just wanted to let you know I'm not claiming this method as my own. |

well if my img link worked right, you can see my first ever attempt at creating fire in photoshop. It's not great but I now know how to do it and can get better. |

Krets, that's a good link you got there. How did you find it? I tried looking for the main page but it just says 'coming soon'... |

ya, looks fine, just work on your liquifying a bit and you'll get a much more realistic result. |

Yeah, it's strange, every fire tutorial I've used (about 3) has always had a lot more red in them when they were done, but mine never seemto have it. I follow the steps to the letter. I don't know what I'm doing |

That's a good point, Mahjqa. And, I've been practicing with the Smudge tool recently. Hmmm... |

Smudge tool is great. I forgot to mention that I used it for to touch up the final image. |
