Hey guys, I'm looking to learn how to make text take on the texture of a picture. How would I go about doing that? |

Or, you can type your text on a layer above the pic, select the text( CTRL+click ), and click the add mask button on the layer pallette. ( add the mask to the pic layer )Turn off the text layer. |

How about the "Selection in Shape of Text" tool? (I don't remember the proper name for it, but it's a pop-up if you hold down the Text tool. It lets you type, but instead of editable text it gives you a selection outline.) Then you could apply that selection as a layer mask. Saves you a step. Or am I missing the boat? |
