ok, before someone here tells me to use search feature, just to let you know, I DID.. but found nothing..

My questions is, how can I draw breaking line...similar to dotted line but instead of dots I would like to have little lines...something like this

here is one way:

1. draw a continous line
2. create a new brush (click the arrow at the upper right of the brush menu.) Give the new brush a high spacing. Maybe something like: Diameter - 3, Hardness - 100, spacing - 500, all depending on what sort of dotted line you want.
3. choose the erase tool, and choose the brush you just created
4. Pull the eraser over the line, to erase the gaps in the line. (hold down shift if you have a horizontal/vertial line) Just remember to only move it over the line once, and not back and forth.


There might be some other, better ways that I am not aware of...

aha! Thanks ZOX... I knew that eraser had to be involved...but I wasn't sure if there is a way to draw it just like you would draw dotted line with pencil tool...

Or just use that brush to draw the line in the first place....?

or create a custom brush?
