Preserved Topic: Speed Painting (Page 1 of 1)

Topic for this week is Nightmares. That leaves it pretty open. Make them scary..

I almost picked flowers...

1. You have approximately 30 minutes (try to limit differences by 10 mins, give or take) to do a sketch/painting/model, digital or traditional of the supplied topic.
2. Time dedicated to scanning, uploading, saving, etc, is NOT counted towards the time it takes you to do your entry. Just the time you spent creating it.
3. You can submit as many entries as you want.
4. Much like the monthly sig competitions, the previous winner decides the next topic and the next winner of said topic.
5. Speed painting topics will last for approximately a week.
6. Have fun! Obviously there's no way to tell how long you *actually* spent making the image, so this thing runs on an honor system.

Here's a perfect example of a topic that can have the time limit jacked up to an hour.

I'd love to have an hour for this one. If everyone's ok with that, it sounds great.

Works for me. Should be at the topic starter's discretion, really, so set the time you see fit for your topic. =)

I totally broke all of the rules... About 1:30 hours... NOT original artwork - was drawn using a trading card as reference.

What's with the graph paper?

I have half an hour of one done and I meant to bring it to work to scan but I dont know why it isnt in my bag, dont have my smokes either, somethings going on. Anywho expect one from me soon.

It's been a week so I thought I'd see if you guys want to close this one down and start a new one or just leave it for a bit? Hugh mentioned above that he has a painting but that's about all the action this week. I won't be doing anymore for this topic but don't want to close it in case anyone else has planned on a pic.

Since there are very few of us who do the speed painting here, would it be more practical to just have a single ongoing thread on any topic for a month at a time?

Anyway... Synax I love your drawings, very nice. And I like the creepy bunnies from Insider and Ktulu too

well.... it seems some one blew that bell curve off the chart...

Here's my suggestion: Limit the topic to a week, but just leave the thread open to any late commers who want to contribute. It's all for fun anyways, so there's no need for strict limits.

I'm working on something as I type, well not really at the same time but, . I don't care, close it when you want. But I do have something else to add, if that makes you change your mind.
