I am playing with Mahjga's matrix tutorial at http://faq.ozoneasylum.com/1209/rating/ and all seems to be going well but my optimized output is losing all it's color so my output is greyscale. even thought the PSD is fully colored and in RGB mode. I am not sure what I may have done but seem unable find how to fix it. Th color Table in Imageready shows all black with small white dots. Does anyone know what I did and how or if I can fix it.

current version no color (Sorry big file right now)

Try duplicating the original, and drag it to the top tof the stack. Set to, maybe overlay, color, reduce opacity as needed.

The original photo is color in the PSD. and was added. I have tried it as overlay I think but will check again.

I really think part of the problem is the color table in imageready only shows black and white and I don't know why or how that happened or if it is normal.

I'll open up another past one and see what hapens to the color table.

Ok here are are the color tables of the problem one and another color animation.

Check the 'optimize' settings, and check if the palette is set to 'custom'. If it is, change it to 'adaptive'like on this screenshot:

that's it man, adaptive, perceptual, selective, andything but custom. Custom has black and whites stuck in there and won't let go of that palette, it's a 'custom' palette. The others will work off of the PSD colors and adapt the final GIF output based on the original color palette instead of using the preset palette.

Thanks lot's guys. And Majhga for the tut. If you noticed the image at top is nw colored, And the palette was set to custom. I knew it had to be something easy to fix that I was just missing. Haven't used imagready for animations much til now but having lots of fun with it.
