I have a new client that is requesting an Embroidery site , please help i need some ideas

why, isn't that obvious? Make the background a cloth, and then make the graphics look like they are embroidered on it.
Sounds like much fun to me! Wish I could do it!

I agree, I see soft pastel colours and make the navigation buttons look like they are threads of cotton/silk?. My wife does cross-stitch and I like the look of the threads.

what about taking pictures of that stuff, and try to work with that?

Heres an idea: ask the client what he wants ...

I just looked at an embroidery business for a site also.

What I did was take a look at the business card and their mai logo and worked it in with the site.

1. Make their logo prevelent
2. Make the content the key (not navigation)
3. Add a very easy to use and understand navigation
4. Display their work in a logical manner, that keeps with the site theme

Embroidery, it is a type of stitch work.

The add art work to clothing or just for visual appeal using different colored threads. It can be considered another art form (but like many artforms, it can be automated [see photoshop actions] and it then loses its appeal as an art form).
