two things first:
1) flash intros will not make you very popular here. search the archive for those two words (try "flash", and "splash"), and see what sort of comments pop out.
2) the alignment is an absolute mess in my IE, and my netscape is even worse. should we be expecting this, or does it look normal-like in your browser?

ok, ignoring these, the tv style of presentation is a good idea, but you need to make it seamless, have none of that white, make it all blue, and have the details smack bang in the middle of the screen.
keep working on it, and im sure you could get places!

i love that everyone still trusts me to give commentary.

:: re-double the commentary by bunchapixels above. nespah?
:: your font usage in the flash is...well...irritating. it's illegible and doesn't convey any sort of meaning.
:: red, blue, and yellow? ouch. primaries, yes...but...umm...
:: none of the options are described. i have absolutely no clue what the hell the top 50 or top 100 are...nor do i care, based on that presentation, oui?
:: the animation on the side of the main page is totally distracting. if there were content on your page, i would hope that you would want us to pay attention to it, rather than spending our time gazing into the spinning, color-changing ball.
:: i, personally, don't like the tv-interface. it doesn't lend itself to much real-estate whatsoever. you've got your 300x300 (or so) area to work with, and that's it. you've got so much more on the screen, let it come out a touch.

...i think i'm done.

Well, I'm going to play follow the leader here and "second" everything that has been said thus far.
If you're going to get praise for Flash intros around here... it'll be few and far between.

I like Flash myself, and it's good to see that you've taken time to learn it, but tread lightly with *how* you use certain effects and when.

I think you definately have to re-work the "spacial" issue of your site as well as removing that annoying side animation. Either get rid of that font, or at least space it out.
That'll be enough work in itself.

I'd like to see you re-work this and see what you come up with. If you need Flash help, the Multimedia forum in only a click or two away...
