www.netmosis.com/deteriorate

you'll notice that the bg on the tops and bottom don't horizontally tile quite kosher...anyone got a technique that would help me fix this...stupid question but i'm suffering from blankness of the mind right now...i guess there are no stupid questions, only stupid people...

also any feedback on the graphics would be nice...i'm not quite sure how the dl time is on a modem...anyone out there wish to comment on load time?...

those dropdowns, er drop ups...whatever...they'll eventually have a border similar to the border on the edge of the content area, the buttons will have the same border...

[edit]yes i know its not quite 800x600 friendly, i'll be making some sacrifices to account for this soon[/edit]

What about the white in the middle? Going to do away with that? Doesn't quite fit.

why reiterate what the doc put so well? http://handson.nu/HTML/tiles.shtml
....basically shift the whole image...
and if you want some less generic advice, well, the left part of the image looks pretty dark, maybe if you make the right bit go dark too, that would be a start.
or restrict the window size. but that is popups. ick.
or center the thing... ill post a scrnshot... http://reitsma.tripod.com/netmosis.html
hmm... or not.... a popup would be neater...

i'll try the tiling,
otherwise it'll be pop ups (i'm threatening to go chromless)

centering it looks ok, but i like the bg going up to each edge more...plus i get a little more use of the space that way...

oh yeah krets:

the white is where the stuff goes...on the front page it'll have a netmosis.com v2 graphic in a typeface i've been working on with the border of the type fitting to the white/bg border...

thanks

Hey nice work!

load time was not 2 bad on a shitty 56k with IE5 all the "content " loaded and then while i was playing with the drop ups the gfx suddenly poped up. which was a nice suprise

i think that the white was a but over powering though. maybe try a light gray or something.

No offense Maruman, but I don't think light gray would do the trick.
I agree.... I'm not a fan of all that white....

- load time was fine on my 56k as well netmosis

Ok. I dug out my shades for all that white.....

I noticed under the nav buttons that there is a faint dark line running horizontally. If the content is going to be in the middle, I'd kill the main scrollbar.
