Anyone know why / or how the installation of a software program could cause your sound level to decrease. |

i'm not an expert, but it sounds like some settings need to be adjusted. i've never used dragon, so i wouldn't know what to expect. installing software shouldn't damage your speakers...just my thoughts... |

Well, it would help to know what Dragon 5.0 is. Also, there could be a bunch of other factors. I would have suggested checking all your sound volume levels (line in, wav, midi, etc.) but it looks like you already did that. If you have Windows, then you could probably reinstall everything but I doubt that would be much of a solution. |

Maybe try to uninstall Dragon 5.0 and see if that helps. If it does you know what the issue is then... |

i searched for dragon 5.0. i'm pretty sure it's voice recognition software. i don't really know how or why anyone might use it, but that's what i found. |
