You'll be saddened to learn that your scrolling window doesn't work in Opera 5.12 for Windows. Overflow: auto is one of the few CSS2 properties Opera 5.12 doesn't support, which is too bad, because it's pretty handy. |

Opera 6 (win) does a variation on the theme of 5.12. Netscape 6.2 doesn't like it much either. Looks great in IE6 though. (And of course there's no sense in even trying Netscape 4.) |

I like it but there is only one thing that bothers me, that is how things don't line up horizontally. There doesn't seem to be a good flow to the page. Know what I mean? I'm not sure I like that blue for the text and the scrollbar either. The other colors work well together though. |

You can also define link colors in the <body> tag, as <body link="#123456" vlink="#123456" alink="#123456">. That'll whip NS4 into line, if NS4 is a concern for you. |

If you din't like the colors, you weren't alone. I had forgotten to define the links in the CSS. d'oh! |

Hmm, it seems that the width on the main content window went much wider than you might have wanted. Seems to me this problem occured for me somewhere along the way, and I ended up having to make sure I set the 'clip' properties for the offending section. I'll look this over a bit more tomorrow and see what I can find for you, but this is a good hint at least! |

I am the only one but I liked the brown background.. with the right shades of yellow as accents it gives the impression of gold.. as true gold is a gradient..not flat brownish yellow colors.. That golden brown and yellow accents was intriguing. The textured background overwhelms the graphics.. try that golden brown, carefully selected yellow accents and a touch of blue.. if you dont use the brown and yellow.. post the # for me please.. I liked it.. it has possibilities but I dont use stuff unless clearly permitted..also don't view sources..lazy maybe..unless it is posted as tutorial.. I havent read your code as I don't know enough to add anything about the code so I have no reason to look at the color #. Must ask...Thanks |
