Hi, electro caught my attention when he said that Strata 3d could be d'l for free, had to try it out. Here is what I've made so far...

Glass Goblet 1
Glass Goblet 2

I'm happy with the results, even though the reflections might be a bit much I would like to fill it with a liquid, but don't know of a good way to go about that. Any ideas?

hahaha
nice

yeah...I would just model the liquid as a solid..with the right texturing it will look wet. As long as you don't want to make it splash or pour...things will be all good.

EZ, ya, go to www.tucows.com and do a search for strata 3d (I tried the download from the strata site and the file seems to be missing from their mirror).

Hey, I think I've got this liquid thing down now, what a pain though! I also dumped a few ice cubes in it and added some half-ass caustics.
Glass Goblet 3

Hey, anyone want to post a map that they use to get some realistic caustics?

This is a pretty sweet program, I don't get that confused feeling that I get with Lightwave
