Hi All,

Is it possible in photoshop to take a label image and and wrap it around the image of a bottle and make it look like a labeled bottle? Of course I'm a newbie but have access to
photoshop and illustrator. If not what software am I looking for?

TIA

PS. the Displace filter will do it the best. Distort the image, or bend it.
learn ALL about displace here

the spherize could be a shortcut way. I dont think ya could get quite the same thingy with it though.

Izzy, bite your tongue! Cannify.

Another option is Filter > Distort > 3D Transform. Takes a bit to get used to, but it works. Might take some hit-or-miss depending on what you are doing.

If you really want to do it with Displace, I can show you that. Half of this route is right here. The other half is Squish Factor, which I haven't written about just yet.

Personally, I would take the label and render it on a cylinder in POV-Ray as a PNG, and then open it up in Photoshop again. But that's just me =)

Hi again,

Just wanted to thank all for sharing your knowledge and links. Starting on the Photoshop
end but POV-Ray sounds interesting also.
