(and don't say it's big. I know. ) I just want some comments on the thing itself before I fix the (sorry TwItch^) dropshadow.) Any comments?

i dont see a dropshadow.

hmmm, well, some comments:
the graphic is very detailistic and made with love, a mahjqa-style!
the cable itself is a bit strange. especially the part which is not bundled. it just doesnt lay around realistic.
the bundle-thingie is great! really, i love it. very cool reflexions.
the font, well, also cool. but you could move it somewhere, where it doesnt collide with the cable.

resume: good work, mahq!

Ghost XII of XIII... Is that referring to the same "ghost" as in Ghost in the Shell? If it doesn't, it fits very well with the "Plug your mind into Photoshop"

I'm really having problems with the monster cable. It's too blurry and the way it's coiled up just doesn't look natural to me.

i'm on mozilla (0.91 ) right now and it looks a little bit strange. some black wires are in the background. i'll post a screenshot tomorrow. nor i'm to lazy...

The cables are very hard to see...

The lighting on the plug on the right seems a little funky to me.. think it's the gradient on the metalic part.. can't decide if it's round or flat with rounded edges like scsi plugs. The cable looks fine for me, might be courtesy of Mac gamma? The way the cable lays never occured to me until I read the posts so I won't go there. Still, a killer job imo. Oh yea, it's too big.

Wasn't there a game show a while back, where you had to figure out the sentence from the shapes that kinda would be like this?

If so, that guy was (as a painter in the dark) a champion on LIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!

(should I lose the text? are the lights annoying enough? Should I lose them? Can you see the details better now? Why don't you turn the brightness up? What's the speed of an unloaded swallow?)
I didn't add a dropshadow since making blurred objects appear right on both forum background colors is next to impossible.

cyoung: yeah, the reflection is kinda weird, but otherwise the part that's facing forward is terribly dull. BTW, it's not a gradient, it's airbrushed.

FLAMEhorse: rembrandt? not really, but I like the way he uses light. My big inspiration would be Jeff Axer

BTW [peer], it's the ghost types XII or XIII. (in the first one it seemed to read XII of XIII, (like seven of nine) but I cleared that up. and it's indeed a reference to ghost in the shell. )

the only think that buggs me about it is the plug itself, or the little thingys around the plug... they dont look like they connect to the plug. maybe if they started out silver or something. i am not real sure what though.

Like a lot of people have said before me, the plug bugs...but here's why. The wierd assed lighting on it make's my eye think that there are two plugs there, side by side, kinda like a MIDI cable, double cored stuff.
