Oh my God... I am truly shocked. I was hoping that the sig would place, and when I opened up the thread and saw Thumper was 2nd runner up and SB was 1strunner up, I felt a slight pang of disappointment. Then I scrolled down and saw my sig...

Well, there's no way to say this without sounding like a total sap, so I'll just go ahead and spit it out. Yes, this was my first sig contest, and in a way I kind of felt like I was encroaching on the territory of the many talented people around here. Like, I said, I was simply hoping to place. Actually winning, though, pretty much floored me. I didn't think it would mean that much, but it did. My day has just been made.

We had a lot of good sigs this past month, my personal favorite being SB's. I also like synax's alarm clock, and I'm actually flattered that Grumble thought it was mine. Hope you weren't offended, synax.

Um, yes, I'm stalling. See, I just printed out the final copy of my MA thesis, and I have to go out and get it bound before going to school to hand it in. So at the moment I'm kind of distracted. I promise you, though, that I will be thinking about this month's contest while I am out, and I'll have something for you when I get back.

Nah, I'm not offended, I just act like a saucy bastard when I enter 3 (count em, THREE) sigs and don't win Congrates Suho! I'm a little disappointed that Dracusis' kung-fu toaster didn't get a mention though. It's like there's some kind of animation conspiracy theory floating around...
