InSiDeR: Not at all - I'm sure you did make it all yourself (you did post a number of variations in the BIG eye thread a while ago). All I said was that it looked familiar - if you are going to make an eye with red skin you are going to have to accept comparisons with one of the all time great sigs

Cheers for reminding me about that - the thread had been archived since I made the FAQ on eyes but the links are now fixed:

[Emp edit: Any chance of getting the focus back to Suho1004's sig contest?]

Am I missing something: a negative number *can't* have a square root since a negatice times a negative equals a positive. Is their an answer? Am I missing something? Could you do it with absolute numbers?

PS: InSiDer: The texture on the sig is a bunch of layers of $h!t full of grunge brushes set to color dodge/burn

that is the concept known as imaginary numbers.

thus, the square root of -4 is 2i, as 2 squared is 4, and i squared is -1.
...sounds fun, but when you realise that there are actual practical applications for imaginary numbers, that's about when my brain implodes.

Emps: You hit the nail right on the head. I thought "the more pain, the better" was a pretty obvious hint. I figured some people would go for the psychological aspect, which I won't automatically rule out, but it's really got to be "torture," not just "difficult."

So far, in my opinion, four sigs fit the category: Wolfen's, CFB's, Raptor's and SB's. And I like what I'm seeing.

Keep up the good work! (Oh, and ditto what Izzay said)

Sorry, Grumble, but it looks like she didn't end up suffering all that much... maybe if the guy sliced all of her limbs off first and than fed her to his dog... that would be torture.

[Edit: I guess I won't count it out, though, since you could argue that she went through about 1 second of painful psychological torture... but I think that would be stretching the definition.]

However, when did you change your name to Shitzoboy??

CFB - for the record, DG just recently aquired that graphics tablet. The eye in question (and many other great hand painted works) were done without it.

So what's the official rule on recycled sigs for sig contests? Is there one? Are these usually treated the same as newly created sigs? I'm just curious as to what the precedents are on this, considering the last sig contest was the first one I ever entered...

mahjqa: Thanks. Personally, I feel all sigs for a contest should be original, but I wasn't sure what the rules on that were.

Also, I'd like to second what VP said. Size does matter, both in terms of file size and pixel size. Some of these sigs are really nice, but some of them are just a tad too big to be viable sigs...

But I really like what I'm seeing so far.

Oh, yeah, InSiDeR, I've got to say that I don't really think your sig fits the category. If you decide to go with that, I will consider it along with the other sigs, but I don't think it completely fits the topic. It's just not tortuous enough for me...
