The last time something like this happened (too much inane banter, no sigs) the second thread was a sig-only thread. I don't think it has to be, but there's a few things I'd like to mention.

1) no reposts. We've seen your sig, don't worry, Izzay knows where to find the old submissions.
2) No one-line posts like 'wow, that's great' or 'damn, that sucks'. Give some constructive criticism, and don't make a post just to bash a sig. If it's that bad, it's not gonna win anyway.
3) play nice, use your common sense a little before you post.

You could still post yours. I doubt anyone here would think you copied from me. Given your amazing talent I look forward to seeing it.

speciesX, I tried to animate it but it did not look right. My Image Ready seems to have developed a problem where the transparency is not being applied the same on all of my frames. I am going over the manual and tutorials to see if I am forgetting something but so far no luck.

Here's a reworking of the lava lamp with my name left off since it has a moth silohette on it. I also reworked the glass to make it look less cartoony and more, uh... glassy.

Moth: Once again that lava lamp you posted would look so much nicer if it were animated! LOL But I really should keep my mouth shut cos: 1) I don't know how to animate graphics & 2) I don't even know what Image Ready does (sorry, you're really talking to an amateur here!). Good luck with your animation problem; really wish I could help.

moth; the best you could do is to check if you have any layers that span the whole background. In the 'optimized' window, are there any bugs/things that shouldn't be there?

By the way, this sig isn't finished yet. So far it's only 13 KB, so I've got a lot of room for making a longer/smoother animation. Lava lamps are supposed to be eyecandy, after all.

When a glob in a lava lamp is going down and hits one going up, more often than not it simply slides off to the side. Pretty rare that they actually "melt" together. So, his animation is accurate in that.

Wow, I know drop off in the second half of the month is the norm, but this is pretty severe. We had 19 sigs (including reworks) in the first half of the month, but only 3 so far in the second half.

I was hoping to put some dancing slimes in this, but I sort of ran out of time. This'll do, anyway.

I have a better version, but the heavily optimized versoin is 200K, which isn't fit for a sig, so this will have to do. I'll post the larger version in a separate thread.
