Topic awaiting preservation: duffy got me into glowing lights (Page 1 of 1)

so I tried this sig. If i did it a week earlier i could have put it in the electric contest. but the 3D one would have kicked my butt along with all the other ones.

looking good - mind sharing some secrets?

Well I work at Spencer Gifts which if you don't know is a GAG store that sells all this crazy stuff. So I get to look at stuff like this all day.

For the most part it's just a few layers with gradients, a little blur here and there for highlight. Duplicate a few layers to give light on and light off effects. And there always seems to be a dark line that moves across the bulb when it's on so i hid that behind the cloud effect layer. Just take a look at the PSD and lemme know if you have anymore questions.

I usually get told that I should read thisa or that book, but I am a hands-on person - I can read it for years and not learn anything, but if I see it once how it is done I never forget...

this is by far the coolest sig I have seen here in a long time...

Yeah, blacklight sigs rock! I guess with all the meds they keep us on it relaxes the brain to look at them.

I thought I saw another neon (black light) sig in this forum.

Just because Jung made a blacklight sig first doesn't mean you are not being original by coming up with your own spin on the idea.

crip, have you had your green ones lately? I've been on a strict regimin of 2x Green and 1x Black daily and I'm seeing things much more clrearly now

I by NO means meant to suggest that you were not original or lacking in a great sig. Personally I think you have a keeper! In fact I think everyone should do a blacklight sig, would be cool! Makes the meds go down great!
