Well, I guess my curiosity has gotten the better of me. I was wondering if anyone would like to share why they chose the name they chose for asylum. You don't have to, I was just wondering since I am curious. |

I've been through several, starting with Omicron Child, just because I liked the way it sounded. then I dropped the Omicron and went for just Child, but that had been taken as a screen name so I got IXI Child IXI and from there I dropped the rest of it and kept IXI. it just kinda grew on me. |

Well, the Skaarj are a group of large butt-ugly alien invaders from the Unreal series of games, and when I join up here I simply forgot how to spell it, adding the extra j to the end, so it turned from being pronouced 'Sk-har' to 'Sk-har-juh'. So why did I choose it? Frankly, it's what came to mind first, and it's stuck since then. Although I also go by the name Rien (french for 'nothing') in a few places now. |

Actually, poi, I've always wanted to know how you pronounce "poi"? When I first saw your name in the Asylum I thought you were from Hawaii |

My last name is Kretsinger. 'Krets' has been a nickname of mine forever. It was started by my freshman highschool gym teacher. He was this big Italian guy who knew my dad real well and my dad gets called 'krets' a lot. He started calling me that and it kinda stuck with the rest of my friends. |

Hmm... well, when I purchased my first computer I had this foolish idea that the only thing that would keep me from being the next big underground hacker personality was the nickname... so I put a lot of thought into it, and finally came up with: |

I don't remember much of the birth of my name, but I know it all started in my head, a little peice of paper, and a pencil. I wrote out "zava" and I have no clue how I got "boy" on there... maybe I thought it was a little short... hmm... anyhoo, I don't know if zava has any meaning, I just know people in some forigen country have names with zava. So really my name has no meaning to it exept "boy," my name is like "[whatever you make of it]boy." I'm pretty much tied to the name now, even if I tried changing I couldn't because I own my own .com and I've used the username just about everywhere (100 some places). So, umm, that's it... |

Well, my last name is Ensell. Back in middle school, I was "thought" to be hacking school computers, and being a skater/nerd/stoner/class clown, one day a "friend" of mine walked up to me and said "Ensellitis, you're like a disease." I don't know where it came from, or how he came up with the name, but it stuck and 6 years later, alot of my friends only call me by Ensellitis, some of my family even calls me it... |

Mine was the meaning for the modified gaelic name from which my own real name is derived. It turned out to be more commonly used than I would have liked, but I've stuck with it on quite a few sites. |
