What's wrong with our *own* legs that we need to have an additional pair of robotic legs? (Excluding paraplegics of course).

^ it's that kind of backwards thinking that will keep us in the dark ages forever.

It's not about *needing* a pair of robotic legs. It's about the advancement of the humna race, and our *privelage* to be strolling along encased in an egg-shaped cocoon that walks upright on two feet...

Either that, or things are just getting way out of hand here....

I don't think even they would want it. It's almost as ugly as my graphic sigs.

Technology allows us to spend less time in travel, or simply enjoy our free time by cruising on speeds much higher than those we are used to. Everything is developing towards faster and safer modes of transportation (and computers of course). These robotic legs may look stupid, but they're the first of their kind, and may take you for a 50 mile per hour run (not sure it'd go easy on ur ass tho...) after some more development.

If I had to (or could) chose though, I'd go for that thing with wheels... looks much cooler and Im sure the ride is a lot smoother, but still over it I'd choose one of those jetpod thingies... seems the coolest : )

I'd hate to be the poor fool walking 5 stairs behind when that thing loses its balance.

Why is it that it has a windshield(or whatever it's called) to protect your head, but nothing for the rest of your body?

What's wrong with these?

But seriously folks, the way I see it us human beings are getting more and more lazy that soon we'll lose the ability to effectively use our legs altogether, hell we've already almost lost our little toe nearly kind of.

We're going to need to these souped-up trollies, as eventually our body's will collapse entirely leaving only a brain to be grown inside the exoskeleton of a mecha-machina!

Think about that next time you sit down at your desk with that extra donut after lunch!

Cheers,

And some crazy person in Alaska (there seem to be quite a few) has gone one better - he is building his own mecha:
