The number 5 is not that hard.
I sent you a mail.
To solve some stages, you'll need a paint program, or even a text/hex editor.
The stage 6 is über easy.

I've had a lucky guess with the stage 8, the next one is über easy.

The General Knowledge had 15 stages.
I've needed some Wikipedia and Google for it
Damn, the French name for the solution of the stage 12 is : "ornithorynque", I had no idea about the English name.

with MS paint ? Sure you'll have a hard time. You need something more advanced, letting you manipulate the channels or at the very least the colors.

The description of the Math stage 5 is not clear enough. It's obvious that the answer is not 20,000m so they must be talking about the area of the square. ... well when you see the dumbness of the stage 8 you may wonder

abb: in #3 the URL is written in a stereogram. Alas I've never been able to see them, so go through it, I've pasted the image in Photoshop, duplicated the layer, inverted it, set its opacity to 50% and finally slided the layer to the right until the URL of the next stage popped.
mas: the #9 uses the same trick as the #4 .

#11 uses a channel trick, so it's closer to #4 than #5. For the #11, convert it in RGB and check the channels separately. Or you could also do : code:
javascript:document.body.bgColor="Shazaam!";void(0);
