Topic: Band Website (Page 1 of 1)

Hi again everyone.. been a while..

I just recently whipped this site together for my friend's funk band... its a really simple small site.. not much for content.. hopefully more in the near future.. but its a simple little CSS design with some (i think) nice little subtle details in the overall page design... I really need to carry more details into the rest (content within the main text area), but time will allow that.

Just wondering what you guys think of it so far

also note the Rat Pack spoof photo on the homepage that i took of the band

Me like but the navigation's hidden it doesn't come to view very easily you might have to work on that. Other than that it validates so it's good nice work.

Wow, just really nice. I like the design and the code, very clean and to the point. Well done.

I had to hunt and find something that was not to my liking. The only thing I have is that if you don't have any "pics" yet I would remove the link. When a fan comes to the site they will get all excited when they see there is an options for pics and then when there are not any they will be disappointed, the one thing you do not want to do is disappoint your fans. The easy solution is just to drop this link until you have some picks up, and then put it back up there.

I could just get my ass in gear and fire some photos up there thanks for the comments. I will try to update the site and fix the little things on the site.

The only thing that strikes me as a bit off are the lights above the pool table. To me they look like the text bubbles in a cartoon. When I first saw them I was waiting for some witty text to pop up. Took me a moment to figure out they were lights. But hey... I'm old and slow. =)

It's a really nice clean and crisp design, I like the layout a lot.

If I had to criticise something it would only be that the design of the page doesn't seem to work for a band website, it seems a bit corporate or something a software site might use.

It's not a biggy, because it IS a good design in general and the site's code works well.

Ditto on NoJive's post, I thought the lights were speech bubbles too, especially as the two guys on the left are looking at each other.

I hope to have the rest of the content up sometime soon, but am looking forward to another site.. got a couple i can do, just don't know which one will be next
