Sorry, as a dog lover, i think it is cruel for the owner to enter the dog in competitions based on its ugliness anyways, poor thing obviously has something wrong with him, shame to exploit it the way she has done.

Yeah, but imagine sleeping over, you don't know that the dog is there (or what it looks like), you get up in the middle of the night, to take a pee...and you meet this in the hall!!!

How exactly did the dog suffer? It isn't like entering your child in an Ugliest Daughter competition. The dog doesn't know it's ugly. Probably got some yummy treats out of it.

I think cruelty can only be imagined in this case, based on a reaction instilled by the human understanding of beauty and its effect on self-esteem.

Did the other dogs feel happy or did they feel sad because they weren't crowned ugliest? My guess -- neither. Didn't care either way because they didn't have a clue what it was about. They were probably just glad for the car ride.

i would post a photo of the ugliest cat in the world, except due to an unfortunate incident involving my truck and our driveway, the poor stray is no longer with us.
