Normally, like this :

Remove the commas.

Another bit of useful information... What you might call "commas," some of us might call "quotes."

The bit about the "A's" though, I'm just stunned.

So does this mean if you do a search on X number of "A"s, you get Y results? Cos I just did a search on aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa and Google didn't accept it.

I wonder why it spikes so dramatically at times.

I found the same thing Danaan

quote:

"aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa"... is too long a word. Try using a shorter word.

Iron Wallaby - Not sure, but I'll bet there's at least a half dozen courses where you could use that for the topic of a research paper.

Words have to be under 128 characters; you'll notice that's where my graph ends.

I was happy for the limit, since I entered in each of those A's manually and copy/pasted the number of results into excel. =)

There's a spike at 100 A's (probably not a coincidence); I don't know about the other spikes.

Were the peaks primes? (or maybe the troughs were primes?)

Any particular reason for the compilation of this data other than sheer borebom?

Significant local maximums were at:

32 (40900)
36 (24300)
40 (31800)
44 (17500)
48 (27100)
52 (16700)
56 (17600)
60 (19800)
64 (15200)
68 (10800)
72 (56700)
76 (108000)
100 (5020)

Interestingly, all of them are even. [edit: in fact, divisible by 4.]

Just that and curiosity =)

So... instead of people just randomly holding the 'a' key when typing, they type a few and copy/paste a random number of times.

After the "peaks are multiples of 4's", I'd be willing to bet the primes are the low points

["a"!="and"]
