Does anyone know a way to get a hold of Boy Scout merit badges? Boy Scout dealers won't sell them to you outright; you have to have the completed requirement forms and stuff. I even tried a story about designing a Web site for my nephew's troop and needing badges to scan. They still wouldn't let me.

From what I remember from being in Boy Scouts, they were distributed through the regional office, which ordered them from their supplier. I know we had a large stock of patrol badges at our troops office, but never had any spare merit badges laying around, always had to wait for award night. |

Wes, might it be quicker to join your local Scout group and actually earn your badges ? I'm sure you would have a lot of support |

Actually what might be even quicker is to go to your local sewing shop, because they have sewing machines now-a-days that can be fed images and produce embroideries from them, so you may be able to get the badges custom made like that. |

I like axle's idea, but ugh ... so much work. Besides, do they even take 31-year-olds? I was thinking about faking whatever forms are necessary and posing as a scoutmaster, but ugh ... the costume. |

There is another way to if you have the pictures, some shops can actually embroider logos on caps an shirts. Maybe they could use the embroider machine to get the logos on the shirt. |
