Hello

I want to write or use an existing library that allow my simple textarea to become richtext enabled.

Something like when you compose an email in hotmail.

Can someone suggest something?

Have a look at htmlArea

or tinyMCE

Or the unfortunately named FCKEditor

I like the looks of the tinyMCE =)

tinyMCE is what I use these days. Best clean up routine out there, and fairly neat code.

The Dojo Toolkit also has a rich text editor (demo) in the works. (There are a number of talented DHTML gurus working on this project, I might add.)

Sorry I was still at work yesterday. I put down my Opera-minion jacket when I leave the building.

none of the bloody richt text editors work in opera.
Poi, do something ;-)

If it can make you happy, the one provided by Scott kinda "work" in an internal build of Opera9. Well you could edit the text, but the toolbar only had the save and cancel button.

And I've reported a bug in the handling of BMP images, which when it'll be fix should make Neja work in Opera ( and that makes me happy )
