This animation is pretty awsome. It even runs well on my old klunker (800MHz).

Can't help but feel a bit sorry for old Albert tho'.... imagine those images running around in your head..and no way to show anyone. =)

Smart - but would old Einie have had the images, or an unimaginable series of equations swimming around in his head?

Yes... well it's the 'thought' that counts right? <lol>

Good to see you hangin' about again. Missed the quick & easy links in your sig. Recently ran into another link to vectorpark...some pretty cool stuff there... would love to watch over somebody's shoulder while some of those are under development.

That is a pretty cool animation.

Of course, they're cheating a bit because thy're using grey holes instead of black holes

......THANK YOU VERY MUCH for posting a link to this.....

( I?m A Black Hole Junky...and an Einstein Nut )

It?s Interesting... Is seems that (if I?m Interpreting this correctly)... that as they get closer... the waves of gravity seem to push...or collide with one another...
And as they get closer the range of the gravity get larger and larger (as well as Stronger).... in till the mesh together... than that Large range and Strength just seem to dissipate and disappear...

I wonder if its the "New Black Hole" Sucking the Gravity Back in.... actually I think that would be it since it other wise would be defying a Law of the universe? then a gain.. it is a black Hole?

!*?Woops? thinking out loud*!

Sorry 'Bout that...

Ooh, I think you'll find that the simulation is supposed to be showing even the tiniest gravitational 'ripples' in spacetime that NASA are attempting to detect with their latest venture. According to the text on that page, they...

quote:
...hope to detect these subtle waves, which would alter the shape of a human from head to toe by far less than the width of an atom.

That suggests to me that the expanding waves you see are representative of the ripples being sent out across the universe like the surface of a pond (but in three dimensions).

Of course, at the end of the animation, you can see a depiction of Einstein's description of gravity - the stabilised new black hole appears to be warping the spacetime in its immediate vicinity, like a heavy object on a stretched rubber sheet.

As for 'sucking gravity back in' - that's a little like trying to lift yourself by your shoelaces!

ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZzzz.....

What!!

You Mean to tell Me that you can't do that!!!

Can't Gravity affect its self...? Or is it Immune to its own Effects

That?s the thing about black holes... they take laws... Smush them.... than make there own...

OR

Its Just Me thinking too Much again (Probably that )

------------------EDIT------------------

Black holes are actually 'green'

Black holes 'energy-efficient'

Black holes generate ?green? energy
