I can certainly see why they would want people to move from IE to anything but IE, I even downloaded firefox for my mom. I did not delete IE or try to get rid of any icons, just showed her the way and let her decide. I doubt she'll even use firefox. I do wished IE7 would come out and everyone jump on it that is using IE6. That's just from a "Oh cool look what you can do with CSS... Oh wait it doesn't work in IE..." standpoint. I don't care how vulnerable people are as long as it doesn't effect me. One thing Linux has taught me is that people should be able to use what they want.
