Hey inmates,
I've noticed a pretty huge decline in posts over the past months. What's going on? This to me has got to me one of, if not hte best resoucre
for designers out there. Just curious where everyone went. :-)

Well, I'm still here, just learning for my Diploma ( = masters).
But after the last test on friday, and the alcoholic aftermath,
I'll enjoy some downtime

I just started working on my Masters too. At the rate I'm going now, I might be done in 5 years... Kinda depressing really. Ditto on no free time.

I think I might still be here. I'll have to check.

TP, Lord_F: Ah, I wish life were as simple as it was back when I was working on my MA. That's what first got me started here, you know. Not why I first came, but why I posted so much in the beginning. It was my way of staying sane while trying to write my thesis.

Of course, if I had known what the doctorate was going to be like I probably wouldn't have stressed so much.

Still here too.

I occasionally drop and post when I can.

But struggling with a new business and running it solo isn't quite what I'd imagined

Suho: I wish life was as simple as it was when you were working on your MA too
Sometimes I think this whole business of trying to have a real job while going to school is for the birds. I really miss just being able to go to class (and take more than one at a time), then work in the lab the rest of the time. If on the odd chance I ever decide to work on my doctorate, there's no way I'm gonna have a job like I do now

Is that because it's a lot more intense than you thought or more relaxed?

whew... begining to think i was all alone in here. unfortunately i've given up on my masters.... heck i guess you at least gotta do some college to get it.
I tried to do college back when they used to measure font sizes with pica rulers. (ugh...)

This has always and probably will remain one of my favorite forums just on the sheer fact that everyone here (mostly) enjoys coming here and contributing to the community.

The latter. If I had realized how simple the MA was compared to the doctorate, I would have saved all my freaking out for now.

I feel undereducated. I'm just doing a Bachelor of Computer Science at RMIT here in the Merry Ol' Land of Aus. Freaky enough for me, though. My Broadcast Network Engineering class had us creating a network simulator that realised the Chord Distributed Hash Table protocol for Peer-to-Peer systems.

*shudder*
