I was at work yesterday with about 50 programs running at the same time when I recieved this error message:



Does anyone know if this came from a Microsoft program?

Seems most likely to me...anyway I home soon there after....

Erm, it was probably from some program you were running at the time, anyways.

my favourite error was (translated from german): unknown has caused an error in unknown. unknown is closing.
nothing happened though

VSS is Microsoft Visual SourceSafe. The attempt2****** part should be able to tell you what program or facility was using it. C# or other .NET programs would be my first candidates. Then Outlook, Windows Forms users, etc. Microsoft isn't the only VSS shop, so it could theoretically be pretty much any program.
