Topic: Preview Photoshop CS3

I've just noticed this and had to lash it up here for your perusal. I've not downloaded it yet you plan to do so the next chance I get, just got to remember my Adobe password.

I saw a short review of the interface, features/improvements and it looks neat. No more image floating underneath the palettes.

Looks like they found something for the Macromedia GUI guys to do.

I dunno about new features, but atleast it actually *works* on an intel mac. its about freakin time. I already trashed cs2. Now if they would only get illustrator and after fx runnin we would be happy.

I have had no problems with it so far. and I am liking the new interface bits.

I've used it for a while now. It does work much better on an itel mac.

still getting used to the new menus and the beta has a bug in the brush and eraser tool. only shows the cross hairs, no brush size. grrrr.

I can hardy type for drooling in anticipation I have not even looked for the projected cost of the new new PS CS3 Extended because I can't really afford to be splashing out on a new item of software heh thats the firsdt time I have called Photoshop software to me it's more like needing to be hooked up to a ventilator.

Used to be Photoshop was for photos. I miss those days.


Make the system bigger and bigger and bigger... CS2 was too big. CS3 is a monster cookie. I think I'll stick with the devil I know rather than move to the devil I don't know but know that it knows too much.

Adobe Bridge, which I believe comes with CS2, is more or less the same size as photoshop itself 209mb, I don't really use it at all. I'm sure some people in the photographic industry find it useful.

For most of the time I am still using PS7 and will continue to do so for the forseeable future. I have been very interested in 3D editing for a while now but have found the learning curve in the likes of 3DMax, Lightwave, Blender, Maya, Cinema 4D, Softimage|XSI to be very steep, far too steep for me to just pick up in a week or so. So for me the thought of Adobe venturing into 3D is rather exciting.
I am always interested in what Adobe has to offer, having brought so much joy into my life already.

I rolled back to PS7 at work after fighting with CS2 for about a month. It's faster, easier, simpler. Adobe support for "Cardboard Scrap 2" was a joke.

I hope CS3 is better but I'm not holding my breath.

I think the support for 3d is a bit of a misnomer or misleading or something. Sounds more like support for compositing and 3d comping is being used to promote it.

I use CS3 creative suite design premium at work now running on vista, the whole package from top to bottom is amazing, PS3 launches and runs faster than any prior version i have used.

We have a couple of mac guys here one on an intel based system the other on a g5 cs3 runs far better on the intel systms than the older g5 systems.

the 3d feature allows you to work on textures realtime on a 3d model and supports most 3d formats.

The video layer is also great, but the combined suite is amazing. just a few things like dragging a psd including layers in to a weblayout in the new version of dreamweaver, double clicking on them and being able to edit them in ps and realtime updates in dreamweaver.

The combination of adobe and macromedia have really made a great improvement, for DTP guys Indesign cs3 rocks
