![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I can't think of any German ones and the dictionary doesn't list any... but the English one has these other two: |

Paranoid (IV) Inmate From: Florida |
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Moral: English(ish) words make for easter-egg girly-man colors. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ^^ Too funny |
Maniac (V) Inmate From: zero divided. |
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Yep, it seems pastel is the predominant shade of English Hexaguistics... um... Hexioms? Hexalect? |
Maniac (V) Mad Scientist From: Denver, CO, USA |
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Well, to be fair, words can only contain the upper 6 of the hex sequence. So of course they're gonna contain a lot of lighter shades. |
Maniac (V) Lord Mad Scientist Sovereign of all the lands Ozone and just beyond that little green line over there... From: Cardiff By The Sea, California |
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() English is obviously a pastel language. =) |

Maniac (V) Mad Scientist with Finglongers From: Germany |
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() so... I guess we should form "compound" words and substract them... |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() What would be more interesting, I think, would be to spread the letters out evenly over the spectrum. That is, you've got 256 values for red, green, and blue, right? Well, there are 26 letters in the English alphabet. That's almost ten per letter--if we multiply the position of the letter in the alphabet by ten (and make "z" 255) then every three letters will form a color: |
Paranoid (IV) Inmate From: Norway |
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Suho1004: I can see through your evil plan to hinder people's masculinity. The "Welcome to the Asylum" starts with a very masculine pink |
Maniac (V) Mad Librarian From: Seoul, Korea |
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Indeed it is a masculine pink! Never have I seen a pink that makes me want to suddenly crush beer cans on my forehead like this one! |

Maniac (V) Mad Scientist From: :morF |
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() That leaves you with numbers rangingas high as 9ZLDR, or it's nearest alpha equivilant, ZLDR, which is a maximum colour range in hex of 1956FF. The English language, considered as base 36, contains very low levels of red. Mind you, it's a damn long list of words. |
Maniac (V) Inmate From: zero divided. |
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() LOL - I love the way you listed them vertically, just in case we didn't believe it was a long list. |
Maniac (V) Mad Scientist From: :morF |
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I listed them vertically for two reasons: |
Paranoid (IV) Inmate From: London |
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() It's like we're on the cusp of something truly important here, like a key to unlocking the secrets of the universe itself! |
Bipolar (III) Inmate From: f(x) |
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I never knew somebody would post a long list of words on the forums... but we're all crazy people, so I guess I should have seen it coming. quote:

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() This is the freak'n funniest thread ever. I just keep laughing. |
Maniac (V) Mad Scientist From: :morF |
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() yes, my thought as I obtained the list of words was, "Everyone stand back! I know Regular Expressions!" |
Maniac (V) Inmate From: zero divided. |
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I reckon you should be converting these into notes, too. I have a theory that it's the right combination of notes that opens the big gate out front... O.o |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Incidentally the primary antagonist in my novel speaks in colours (he's a squid), so this could turn out very useful. Very useful indeed. |
