Topic: 280Slides - the Desktop has landed

Well... the desktop's move to the web continues.

Have y'all seen http://280slides.com/Editor/ ?
That's a powerpoint-esque presentation system... running right in your browser.
IT rotates pictures. It applies alpha transparency to them. It turns them into powerpoints!

We have come a long long way since 'google suggest'.

Too bad you can't download it in its native format, but I guess they want to make a little cash.

Now we just need that in eyeOS!

@reiso: Don't exactly see what you mean? The offer the most common slide show formats which to my mind is more useful than another proprietary format...

indeed, power point is a pretty stupid model, but there isn't a much smarter idea on the market,

No not really.
It's Death by PowerPoint.
If you need to give a copy of the presentation or printout slides you're pretty much stuck with it...software that hasn't evolved one bit in several iterations of Microsoft Office.
But if all you need is to present, without distributing your ppt, well why not do it in your browser full screen? Then you can use all the graphical richness and interactivity that you would on the web....and you can add menus and hyperlinks to your presentation much more elegantly than PP (with or without its native VBA).

My post wasn't clear. What I meant is why not create your own slides in Photoshop and then use flash or JS (Ajax) all within your browser....instead of PP or an online clone.
