I know it's been done before, but just wondered what you guys are up to now.

Myself married with one son and one on the way next may.

Managed to get some serious web design work, worked on the rolling stones tour advertising when they were in the czech rep and lots of stuff for coca cola etc.

on the 3d side, produced some commercial addons for a few games, currently working as a freelance 3d animator when i am not teaching.

hope you guys are all well.

Didn't do much design work, busy with my job.

Would like to hear how the others are doing..

Still lurking and posting every now and then.

Moved to one of the Core teams of Opera, working mostly on W3C widgets, device APIs and more recently on extensions for Opera 11. Been at Opera and living in Oslo for over 5 years now. It looks like I'm gonna stay here a bit longer...

I got married in September last year and our daughter is coming at the end of this month

Haven't had much "geeky" time the past months with work, the pregnancy and other personal things. I hope I'll manage to squeeze out a bit of time for some creative projects during my parental leave when our daughter will sleep. We'll see how it goes.

Arthurio: Please do. I'm a lazy bum and need some kick to get productive. Most of the creative stuff I made recently were triggered by some challenge of some sort ( JS1K, seeing some insane 128b prod in x86 assembler, a silly meme, ... )

Sounds like we're in the same boat poi
Good luck finding time for any projects... I was able to take 2 weeks off and finding time to sleep and just do day to day stuff quickly went to the top of the list of things to try and do each day. I didn't have any time for any extra projects (still don't), but it's completely worth it

That's an issue between Youtube and GEMA, a german institution that collects royalties. They demand ?0.13 ($0.17 / £0.11) for each five-minute song, and Youtube's not going to pay that. As a result, ANY video containing music (even rights-free and Creative Commons licensed songs) are not broadcast in Germany.

I've put up mirror files of the videos. You can find them here: http://www.flickr.com/search/?q=youtubemirror&w=28134808%40N02

Wow, everyone is procreating but me it seems! Congrats to everyone who're participating int he next generation. (Malin and I mainly concentrate on neurotic cats, and even they are fixed; evolutionary dead-ends, I'm afraid.) We're still focusing on reinventing retail, and it seems as if I don't really do anything fun, sadly enough. Business is good, that is cool, but coding seems like just a chore at times, that does bite.

I wonder if we shouldn't take over the5k.org maybe? I know that'd seem like tons of bytes to poi! It really is great to hear from so many of you guys doing well - this place was one of my best creations ever, and I owe a ton of thanks to all the inmates who've kept it running during my frequent absences.

I'm watching the Super Bowl, believe it or not! Only for the commercials, heh. =) Say, anyone have any ideas on what to do with evercookies? Hyper-neat, but I can't think of a point to it yet, other than nosy snoopiness.

Yes, 5k is a tons of bytes. Although I'm uber busy, I'll probably chime in the next JS1K and might give in on the webGL band wagon although my 3yo laptop with integrated GPU won't let me go very far with pixel shaders.

In other news, Vida Sofia is doing great, she's over 4kg now and more and more awake. Oh and good news, my parental leave is actually 47 weeks

I've watched Sparkfun for a while now, and they also appear to do retail quite differently - care

I tried checking her website, up until today I would have sworn that I was hosting http://www.shiiizzzam.com/ but when I went to check the link I found a bunch of japanese writing instead. (Quite pretty in a way, the kanji all runs together into big blocks of color, very pleasing.) Unfortunately, that did not look like Shiii's site at all!

I'll have to ask if Malin has heard from her, I know she was way involved in running 2 different boutiques, one in Florida and the other in [somewhere else].

Man it's been a while. Feels like a decade has passed. Congrats to everyone who's gotten hitched, been knocked up or done some knocking.

I've have an interesting decade since I last frequented these halls. I went to the dark side for a while making online casino games. After a few years I eventually saw the light and defected to Sega and the Creative Assembly to do some PS3/360/PC console games - not as much money but it's like like seeing vogonpoet argue with himself - endlessly entertaining. Nowadays I teach game development to the younglings at Queensland University of Technology while working on my research masters. Never married or spawned, probably never will. I never really grew up, I don't intend to either. =D

Hope ya'll doing well.

Cheers!
