I do pretty well with my own small business and I credit a good deal of my success to always standing by my customers. The checkbook has to balance but I find only looking at the bottom line to be penny wise and dollar foolish. You stand by your customer and you'll have a customer for life. I'm the same way as a consumer and Apple has really stood by me over the years. |

Customer relations is great, but you could've bought a new non-Apple laptop for about $1000 in 2004 (with a much better processor, particularly as this was the end of the PPC days), another for $500-1000 in 2008, and another for $300-500 today... and you'd still have spent less money than you did on that original 17″ PowerBook. |
