LOL - that had me freaked out for a while (you won't believe the lengths I went to). It got 15 out of 15.

++++++++++++++SPOILER+++++++++++++++++++++++++

The trick is that each set of ten gives the same number:

99-90 -> 81
89-80 -> 72
79-70 -> 63
etc.

and if you check those numbers all have the same symbol

skaarj -

subtract the total from your original number

or, if you're by chance trying to use the number '9' by way of '09', then -

quote:
choose any two digit number

9, even if you add a 0 in front, is still not a two digit number

Funny thing DL, is that it still works. 09 would be 0 - 9 = -9, then 9 - -9 = 18.

Worked for me EVERYTIME...but I dont get it how the symbols change in correspondence to the numbers and it always seems to show the right symbol.

It's easy, really. As Emperor (and others) pointed out above, it will always be one of a certain set of numbers. The program just makes sure that each of those numbers has the same symbol everytime.

The funny part about this game is that I read somewhere where this was only working half of the time for some people. They need to take a rudimentary math course.

<edit>On further reflection, bitdamaged already explained why this works. It's still funny when someone doesn't get it to work.</edit>

Ini - I think you're missing it still....

It failed for skaarj because he was doing it incorrectly.

Adding the two digits of a two digit number and subtracting the total from the origianl comes up with a finite number of results.

Each of those results has the same symbol each time you load the movie, but the symbol itself changes each time...so it looks like it's picking your answer each time, when in fact it is only spitting out the chosen symbol.

As Emperor, Bitdamaged and Suho have been trying to explain....

=)

Yes, Seneca, it is scary indeed....

{{edit - krets - I swear your post wasn't there when I posted....and iI know it didn't take me *that* long to post....oh well =)

ok now try this tric: get a number which could be divided by 3 eg 27 account the digits 2+7 = another number which could be divided by 3 is the answer. Always. I tried with over 6 digit numbers....

<edit-on> oops mistake...the number 90 is not correct...<edit-off>
