I have some pretty clear memories of being a dog. I'm not entirely sure about what breed, being a dog I don't think I would have been aware of that sort of thing.

I'm hoping that if I behave myself in this life, I'll get to be a dog again.

So, how about the rest of you? Anyone been anything really cool, like a ferret, or an elephant, or perhaps a mole?

Edit... No wait... I keep thinking of bright warm tasty sun! and being rained on alwasy felt good... hmm... and trees! I used to swing from trees a LOT as a child! Then one day I had a nasty fall... and... I cant remember anything after that.

i would love to know what i was....but i don't! my son, on the other hand, was a fighter pilot....we think. when he was younger we took him to an air show in washington and he got in this old bi-plane and starting telling us about when he was shot down in a plane like that one and that he was 24 when it happened and told us what some of the instruments were. it was freaky...but cool!

Since I don't believe in last/past & neither next life, I don't have this "problem".
If we were supposed to have a past life, how come the number of inhabitants in this world is always increasing? Where all the past lifes come from? Are they recycling? Is there never a fresh, virgin life? Even animals (not rational) or plants can be our past lifes? From where came the first - supposably virgin - lives from? Who came first, the egg or the hen? Should I be a good guy now because I want to come back in a better situation? If I am a good guy it's because I did it right in the past? A person that's suffering too much in this life is because made something very bad in the past? When the cycle ends? When the cycles turns around? How can God take care of five billion persons at the same time? Why there is suffering in this world? Why when there is an accident, twenty persons die, twenty persons survive, and God was responsible for the guys that survived (he gets the kudos) but He is not responsible for the persons that died (nobody blame on Him)? Why? Why should I believe in past life? No, there is no past life neither next life. There is only _this_ life. Past lives were our parents and grand-parents. Next life is my son and my daughters.

We all like quizes. Someone should create a bunch or random, multiple-choice questions; when you hit the submit button, it spits out some drivel about your past life.

Let's start submitting questions.

My friend has a theory that this existance is actually Hell, and that we've all already lived our lives and died and that this reality is in fact the afterlife. He also states that based on his theory, I must be Satan.

That means that my wife probably WAS Hitler when she was alive.

Kind of off-topic, but it made me think of this,
An optimist believes this is the best of all possible worlds. A pessimist fears that's true.

Since I don't really go for the whole past-life experience thing, I'll just say I was somewhere between Mother Theresa and Vlad the Impaler...

If you were something in a previous life, why would you remember it in this life? You have a completely new brain, there's no reason you should be able to recall previous lives through it.

Unless you theorize that memories are carried through the soul.

Buffer Overflow, Slime...

...memories are just a rudamentry scripting language.. not like the rest of the world, which is written in C...

(which would make Hell a combination of PHP and bad Flash)

If the world is really written in C, then couldn't those residule memories be pointers that someone forgot to dispose of? That would explain a lot.

The soul, however, must be written in C++ or Java.

I've also heard from a reliable source that Hell is scripted with ASP, complete with more COM calls than you can poke a stick at.

unfreed malloc()s?

I'd have to tell you that you're right on about the ASP, but I doubt hell would have a Browser Interface... hmm... actually, I think you may have something there...
