Topic awaiting preservation: Deleting Posts (Page 1 of 1)

Hi, I'd like to make a complaint of sorts, and I don't mind being corrected if that's what's necessary.

Last Firday I made a post on the CSS forum, it was a valid post about a problem I'm having between IE and Mozilla.

I hadn't been able to check the post since Friday, but when I looked on Morning (Australian time) I find that the post has been erased, along with 80% of the other posts!!

What's going on? Surely there should be some kind of archive for posts to stop peopoe re-asking simple questions.

I admit a tidy Forum is a happy forum but removal after only two or three days seems a little tight! Who's to blame here and what's the reason for this?

Please explain.

Check your preferences and make sure you're not only seeing topics from the last day.

Yeah, there's also a handy little select menu in each forum section that allows you to select how many days worth of threads you want to see.

It's a much better idea to spend a little time looking around than it is to jump to conclusions of these sorts (as you've jumped to more than one in your post ). And if you still can't find it after looking, then a much better question to ask would be "can anyone help me find this thread?" as opposed to "who deleted it?".

Well I appologise for my 'jumping to conclusions' but it took me by suprise that's all.

I'm not a huge forum user and of the forums I have used I've never noticed an option to display only 'todays' posts, so it would seem that was the reason for me not being able to find my post.
