OK, so I have a buttload of fonts and I am sick and tired of cycling though them one at a time in PS to see if it will match my design. Memorizing them all is out of the question because 1) My mind is already crammed with enough useless information and 2) There are to damn many to make it a possibility.

So...

Does anyone know of prog that allows you to view fonts as thumbnails, or something like that? Thanks.

Get rid of a bunch of fonts and you won't have nearly as much of a problem.

On a side note however...... approximately how many is "a buttload"?
Does it depend on a certain person's ass?... or is it fairly generalized?

I believe a buttload is twice the size of a hogshead, which is equivalent to 4 rods, or 500 dollars, depending on who you ask...

And of course you can go to the control panel go to the fonts map and doubleclick on the fonts you want to see. You can even print them for easy reference....

I always open MS Word and use the drop down, shows the font in it's own face and I just scroll through at a glance.

I've got to go with Michael on this one. I try to keep my fonts down to a memorizable load. If I find that I can't remember what a certain font looks like, then I know I have too many fonts on my system.

Knowing that Photoshop is such a widely used product, I figured that some one must have made a solution to this problem. So I decided to google:

+fonts+photoshop+buttload+plugin

Wow! Talk about some interesting results. I haven't found the answer yet, but I'm still researching......

I normally use what should now be 'the JK method'...

I open up Word (since I gotta be on Windows for PS anyway) and the font dialog displays the fonts as-is.... I always thought it was a feature that PS should adopt..
