All of Pugzly?s computers have been seized, and felony charges are most likely on their way. This is in response to a CIVIL dispute with a client (as mentioned here: http://www.ozoneasylum.com/Forum5/HTML/000240.html) |

I'd be interested in hearing more of the details of what's going on. You should consider setting up a web page which explains the situation and provides an easy way to donate, and see if you can possibly get it linked from zeldman.com or some other site which web designers who would want to support you would see. I'd be interested in donating something, but again I'd like to hear the details first. |

Having a non-paying client confiscate the tools you use to do business seems more than a bit extreme. Depending on the details of the backstory I could see some web backlash against this kind of fascism. |

To all of you wonderful friends of Pugzly -- thank you. Your responses have uplifted my mood and hope. It is mind boggling how those who should know better let their baser emotions get in the way. The Emperor has no clothes and the inner circle doesn't have the "equipment" to tell him. Can?t say too much more at this point . . . I?m sure you understand. Your outpouring of support, encouragement and offers of donations are appreciated more than you will ever know. When I?m able to say more, I will. Emperor, I certainly did not mean you by my reference to the fabled character. I do apologize for any mix-up. I was referring to the Emperor of the fable and his chamberlains. You remember the story of The Emperor?s New Clothes are actually nothing at all, and his chamberlains don?t have the courage to tell him. They don?t tell him he?s naked, and so he proceeds to parade through the town. Remember? Maybe it was a bad analogy. Again, my apologies! |

I haven't been to the site in a few days -- Wow -- there has been a lot of activity! Here's a brief update: The Preliminary Exam was set for March 5, but has been adjourned until May 6 so that our attorney can gather information from the seized computers. We urgently need to come up with $5,000 by May 6, and probably up to $10,000 if this matter goes to trial. I am unabashedly soliciting your assistance. First and foremost, we need donations to the legal defense fund. Second, we need to get the word out which will ultimately help in getting donations. There are currently several ways this can be done: Posting to other websites and alerting media outlets. We welcome comments and suggestions as to how we can meet our common goals: Justice For Pat. To those of you responsible for the http://www.justice4pat.com website, we thank you for your phenomenal support. God Bless. |
