I have... uh... Lots of wav's i would like to batch convert to mp3's.... I have one directory devoted to wav files... is there any program that will go through a directory and convert wav to mp3? oh, and do a good clean compression job?

okay, not a lot... just 280 minus a few mp3's... or thats what winamp says.

I guess MusicMatch can batch convert wav to mp3. Take a look at their site.

[EDIT] Yes, it can do exactly what you want. I just tested it.

I have always used Lame and the RazorLame Front End.

Didn't know Music Match was free though, if it is it's probably the best bet, just figured I'd throw an alternative out there.

there are also certain winamp plugins that do that.
however, I would go with easy CDA extractor or cdEX

Used CDex today, myself. I was ripping from .cda to MP3, but it`s a tidy proggy.

CDex is the way to go for wav/mp3 conversion (or CD ripping). It will also do the folder creation thing that you just mentioned.
