Thank you all for your guidance and help over the past year or so.
When I first became an inmate here, I was also new to the internet, having not more than 2 or 3 months experience online. I had used PhotoShop in a very limited way at university, but I was smitten by it and determined to learn more.
I can?t remember the exact reasoning I had for deciding to join the Ozone Asylum. I think it was the excellent ?Hands On Tutorials? coupled with the general vibe of the forums, I felt ?at home? here.
Since then I have learnt much in PS, and now feel confident to learn more. I have even begun to learn how to make my own website; this was something I never thought possible. I know at times I must be a pain, for I am in nature a slow learner and sometimes the obvious eludes me, but with your help I have grown.
With growth comes change. I had decided a while back that I wanted to change my nickname ?Taobaybee? for lots of reasons that I won?t go into here. Rather than give you any of the more prosaic explanations, I shall describe it this way.
Taobaybee has grown and evolved into???.

I believe we have a place for changing your names right? so that you won't have to re-register again? where is that? I seem to have seen it somewhere in the faq.
Nice motives though Tao...a lot of people have grown to calling you Tao anyway. I don't know what I'm talking about, must be the tireness. Sorry.

It felt like the right time, so I went with it I've had the idea in the pipeline since November.
Thanks Bugs, it's a little on the large(file)size. I'm hoping to refine it further.

Yannah, thanks for the thoughts you gave too, it helped me I sometimes do take things too seriously
As for changing your username, right at the top of the Asylum's first page, the homepage, where it says

Yes but it is just enough hassle that we'd ask you to really consider if it is vital. It can cause some confusion for people who have got used to you by another name.

is true though don't you? We have all come to know and luv you as Yannah.
For me it was more simple, as you say, ppl were used to calling me Tao. I bet If I hadn't pointed it out it would take a while for ppl to notice.
The fact that the postcount gets reset diddn't bother me either, hides the fact that I'm a bit of a blather mouth.

I was a slower typer too, but I got used to the keyboard and learnt the right way. Which is right anyway? all you have to do is know how to type, that's all.

You mean Tao isn't his real name....? I thought we all used real names here! I have to admit that I got a bit sneaky and spelled mine with a lowercase 'n' so I would be more difficult to track down.

Hardly hurt at all thanks norm, the anesthetic was optional, so we all had some, Nursey, Dr Nic "hi everybody" Riviera and myself.
The flag sig is not quite finished yet, if that is the one you meant Ian. I've spent over a month trying to get it right, and Mahjqa was a lifesaver pointing me in the right direction. I'm in the process of writing up the steps I took to make the animation, over Here in the "Big Sig" forum if anyone is interested.

Yep I use my real name too (or at least an alias which is the equivalent to my real name).

Little side story: My Dad was amused to find out (at his birthday meal) that my brother is known (at least to my friend's some of whom have known us ) as "The Emperor's Brother" and his girlfriend/partner is "The Emperor's Brother's Bird" I think he was just grateful he hasn't got a nickname
